Privacy policy

This is a convenience translation. Only the German version is legally binding.

Kipa Nachrichtentechnik attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. Where our website cannot be used without providing personal data, your personal data (such as your name, address or email address) is always used voluntarily and only with your consent. This also applies to passing your personal data on to third parties.

The email address and message you give us as part of an “enquiry” are used by us solely to process your enquiry.

In line with the legal requirements for electronic communications and data protection, we have taken the prescribed technical and organisational measures.

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data at any time. For the technical operation of the website, the IP address, date, time and pages viewed are collected when you visit the website. This data is used solely to trace and fix errors from a technical point of view. It is not passed on to third parties.

Consent and cookie settings

On your first visit, we ask you which optional services we may use. You can choose between the following categories:

• Necessary: stores your choice. Always active.
• Statistics: Google Analytics with cookies (see below).
• External media: loads the YouTube video and the Google Maps map directly when the page is opened.

We store your choice in your browser’s local storage (“kipa-consent”) and ask again after 12 months. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer or here:

The legal basis for optional services is your consent (Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021), Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Storing your choice is strictly necessary for operating the website and therefore does not require consent. Our website can be used in full without consent.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), to understand how our website is used and to improve it. We do not use any advertising features or cross-device tracking of your data by means of a user ID.

With your consent (“Statistics” category), Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_4PF22K2Y22 to recognise returning visits. In particular, the pages viewed, the time spent, the previously visited page, browser and device information and your approximate location (derived from the IP address) are processed. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

Without your consent, we use Google’s “Consent Mode”: Google Analytics then does not store or read any cookies or other identifiers on your device, but only sends information about the page view (e.g. the page viewed, the time, browser and device information) to Google without cookies. Google uses this to estimate visitor numbers statistically. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in measuring our reach (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The data is deleted automatically after 14 months. Google may also transfer data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission. You can also prevent the collection with the browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy.

YouTube

On our home page, we embed a video from YouTube, a Google service, in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Until you start the video, we only show a preview image from our own server; no data is transferred to YouTube.

Only when you click “Play video” or have consented to the “External media” category is the video loaded from YouTube. In particular, your IP address, the page viewed and browser and device information are transferred to Google, and YouTube may store or read information on your device. The legal basis is your consent (Section 165(3) TKG 2021, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For the transfer to the USA, see above (Google Analytics).

Google Maps

To show our location, we use Google Maps, a Google service. Until you load the map, we only show a map image from our own server (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors); no data is transferred to Google.

Only when you click “Load map” or have consented to the “External media” category is the map loaded from Google. In particular, your IP address, the page viewed and browser and device information are transferred to Google. The legal basis is your consent (Section 165(3) TKG 2021, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps in a new window, where Google’s privacy policy applies.

Cookies and local storage

Below is a list of the entries stored on your device.

If you withdraw your consent for statistics, we delete the Google Analytics cookies. You can also delete or block cookies and locally stored data in your browser settings at any time.
